3 Essentials I MUST Have in My Makeup Bag

I’m not big on makeup and as much as I want to learn how to slay my face I don’t think I have the patience. The outcomes I see are always beautiful but the time it takes to make it happen, I just don’t have, at least not on a weekday. Then I think about having to take it off at the end of the day and do my skin-care routine… It’s a lot and I give all you makeup queens props. Even though I haven’t learned too much about slaying my face there are three essentials that I need to have in my makeup bag and on my face at almost all times.

1. Eyeliner

I don’t have a favorite brand but I usually stick to the black pencil, not the one the has to be sharpened because I literally always break them.  I have used the liner in the little jar with my eyeliner brush but the pencil seems to do me more justice. If I want a more natural look I like to use a brown eyeliner, which at this very moment I need to restock up on. From the moment I finally put eyeliner on I haven’t been able to go back. I feel completely naked without it and not myself. I must have it at all times and if I don’t my next essential will do the job.

2. Mascara

I usually pair mascara with my liner to add length to my lashes. For the longest I wanted to try to put on lashes because I felt like I didn’t have any, especially since they curl all over the place but it just took finding the right mascara. My go to is Maybelline Volum’ Express Push Up Drama Mascara in Very Black. It adds the length and volume that I need without having to figure out how to apply lashes. My second choice is Maybelline Volum’ Express Pumped Up! Colossal Mascara

3. Lip Gloss/Lip Stick

My lips are one of my best features on my face besides my eyes and it’s only right I dress them up. If I’m not putting any color on my lips I tend to use either a regular chapstick but I prefer to use e.l.f lip plumping gloss or e.l.f lip oil. These two glosses will definitely have you walking around singing my lip gloss is popping. When I’m not wearing gloss I like to wear a matte lipstick. I’m more so into the neutral colors as those match up with my skin tone a bit more, anything that is around the brownish/purplish shade is perfect for me for example I always have to have Photo and Stone by M.A.C on deck. Also I love Kylie’s matte lip sticks but I do suggest using lip primer or a chapstick before applying if you don’t want your lips to feel chapped. Some people hate it but I have a makeup bag full of them. My favorites are Love Bite, Punk & True Brown. All my other lipsticks from Kylie are similar to those shades. There’s something about lipstick that brings out the sexy in me.

What are your must haves for your makeup bag?
